Pendulum:
the period is always defined as T, the time to make one complete oscillation (the back and forth motion)
for a pendulum, T = 2p(g/L)(1/2)
where L = length of the pendulum, g = 9.8 m/s2
Notice it's independent of the mass!!!!
This is pretty straightforward.
Wave motion

l = wavelength (in meters)
f = frequency (Hz)
v = velocity (m/s)
with that we have
v = lf
relating velocity, wavelength and frequency.
also note that f = 1/T, where T = the period, or the time to complete one cycle. (the frequency is how many cycles fit into one second)
