FRENCH
I ORAL FINAL TOPICS
January 9, 2012
Listed below are the four
possible topics for the Oral Final Exam on Monday, January 9, 2012. On that date, the teacher will select the
situation and which role each student will play. Therefore, each student should be prepared to
perform every role in all four of the situations.
A. Salut, les copains! You’re
meeting the new francophone student at your school. Greet the student, introduce yourself, and
ask his name. Find out how he is feeling
and say how you are feeling. Tell him
how old you are and ask him his age.
Finally, say goodbye.
B. Qu’est-ce qui te
plait? This
summer, you’re going to be baby-sitting for the Lemays,
a French-Canadian family who recently moved to your neighborhood. Their son is 12. Ask him questions to find out what he likes
to do. He should respond appropriately.
C. Comment est ta famille? You’re at a French
carnival where you see a fortune teller and decide to have him predict your
future. Using the present tense, ask him questions to find out what your future
wife is like and whether or not you have a big family. The fortune teller will
give you a detailed answer.
D. Mon année scolaire. A
francophone student has just arrived at your school and his schedule is exactly
like yours. Since he is a little lost,
the principal asked you to help him.
Role-play a conversation in which you discuss your school’s schedule and
your classes with this new student. He
will ask you questions about the supplies he needs to get.
