SPANISH I ORAL FINAL TOPICS

January 9, 2006

Listed below are the four possible topics for the Oral Final Exam on Monday, January 9, 2006.  On that date, the teacher will select the situation and which role each student will play.  Therefore, each student should be prepared to perform every role in all four of the situations.

A.     La Entrevista.  One is a new teacher at school and the other is an interviewer for the school paper. The student asks the teacher questions and the teacher answers. Questions should ask for the teacher’s name and birthday, what the teacher is like, and what the teacher’s students are like.

B.    Los Fines de Semana.   The first student asks what the other likes to do on weekends. The second student says what he or she likes to do and where, if the weather is nice. The first student describes the weather, which is bad, suggests another place and activity.  The second student either accepts or suggests another activity.

C.    Los Planes.   One student asks what the other student plans to do today. The second student responds, then suggests going to a sports event the day after tomorrow. Student 1 declines but invites Student 2 to a concert on the weekend and gives the place and time. Student 2 decides to either accept or decline the invitation.

D.    Los Quehaceres.  The parent wants one of the two children to prepare dinner in the kitchen. Each of the children says he or has other chores to do. They should state in which rooms they have chores and what time they expect to start them.
